This policy covers Product Save & Sync, a Shopify App provided by Software Clever Ltd.
1. Who we are
Product Save & Sync (the “App”) is provided by Software Clever Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when merchants install and use the App on their Shopify store.
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the App. Nothing else.

We do not collect customer data, order data, or personal data about your shoppers through this App. Product data we process on your behalf (the catalogue you choose to export or sync) is handled as a data processor under your instruction — see section 4 below.
3. How we use the information
- Deliver core functionality — export, restore, duplicate, sync.
- Provide in-app status messages and diagnostics.
- Improve and secure the App through aggregated analytics.
- We never use store data for advertising, profiling or resale.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with:
- Shopify Inc. — to the extent required for the App to operate via Shopify’s APIs.
- Service providers (cloud hosting, error-logging, payment processing) under data-processing agreements that restrict them to the same purposes.
5. Data retention and deletion
- The store name is retained only while the App is installed.
- Upon plan cancellation or uninstall, all store-specific data is automatically deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics may be retained for service improvement.
- Export ZIPs you download are yours — we don’t keep copies server-side beyond the time needed to deliver the download.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted transport (TLS 1.2+), principle of least privilege on production systems, and regular access audits.
7. International transfers
If data is processed outside your jurisdiction, we rely on recognised safeguards such as UK GDPR-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. Contact us using the details in section 10 below to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. Material changes are notified via the Shopify admin email linked to your store.
